Wes Willett was born in Cherry Point, NC. He loves theology, writing, music, and is fond of most things fantasy or superhero related. He was drawn to music early in childhood. At the age of only 13, opportunity came knocking. Wes answered the call by climbing onto a bus that took him all over the country and eventually around the world, following his passion of music. He still has no idea how he convinced his parents to let him travel like this, but he’s thankful, and delightfully blames his sense of adventure on his parents’ lack of better judgement. “Globetrotting will effect you,” says Wes. “It’s the best classroom available for perspective, especially when you’re young. I think every kid should experience a missions trip.” He explains (with a straight face, ) “When I was a kid, I was on track to become the very first singing-Jedi Knight-bass player, but apparently, God had a different path for me. The path of the worship pastor that loves to write. “Believe me,” he says, rolling his eyes, “I’m as surprised as anyone…” Wes currently enjoys playing bass for Travis Cottrell at the Living Proof Live, Beth Moore events.
